Dr. Ceren Yarar-Fisher, PT, PhD, FACRM

Dr. Yarar-Fisher is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Research at the Ohio State University Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the Director of Clinical Research at the Belford Center for Spinal Cord Injury. Her translational research program focuses on understanding the pathophysiology of mobility disabilities to develop novel dietary and rehabilitation strategies that improve metabolic and bowel health functions. Her work also focuses on nutrition security and access for people with mobility disability in Ohio.

Her role on the board is to deliver evidence-based health education to residents to enhance health and well-being and organize outreach activities aimed at improving nutrition behaviors among Creative Living residents. I hope to engage more in disability advocacy if opportunities arise
