RESIDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Peace of Mind and 24/7 On-Call Assistance
At the heart of Creative Living's mission is our one-of-a-kind Resident Assistance Program, a unique service designed to help motivated adults with physical disabilities live independently while pursuing their personal goals. While our residents value their independence, everyone needs support from time to time.
That's why our Resident Assistance Program provides on-call, non-medical assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, bridging the gap between the time a personal care attendant may spend with a resident and the remaining hours of the day. This invaluable service provides peace of mind, enhances safety, and helps residents maintain the independence they cherish. Because the program accounts for nearly one-third of our annual operating budget, financial support is always appreciated to help sustain this essential resource and ensure it remains available whenever residents need assistance.
Supporting Independence Everyday
PRIMARY DUTIES

Assisting residents who are adults with physical disabilities with the activities of daily living and personal care.

Being responsive to resident calls.

Retrieving hard-to-reach items.

Assisting with miscellaneous chores, such as opening doors, letters, making coffee.

Transferring residents from wheelchair to bed and vice-versa, with assistance of personal care attendant.

Emptying urinary leg bags, if requested.

Turning residents in bed.

Assisting in administering pre-sorted/prepared medications.

Assisting with upper-body dressing, such as shirts, sweaters, coats and hat.
